Might not reply to comments on the previous post because...reasons. But cheers guys.
103 days actually.
cleanskies a 10over12 for you, aural torment, I haz it.
Nova Twins - Taxi (British, Londoners.)
Spotted this Band in Kerrang. And yes, I did a double take, it wasn't just that they were a FEMALE POC band in a predominantly male, white, rock-metal genre magazine, but that their clothes, hair and make up was wildly brightly coloured in contrast to the black and logo clothes and black eyeliner only make up you'd usually find in Kerrang.
I finally got to check them out and OMG these guys are amazing. I don't often find myself in the position of "watch music video on youtube... immediately buy track, watch another video, immediately buy track, watch another video, buy track before the video is even half finished." I have to see them live.
So what is their music like? Grime-Punk-Metal? Urban-Punk-Rock? Rapcore-Alternative-Rock? Putting the Black in Metal?
😍🤘😍🤘😍
I've been having such a Black Metal Fetish recently I thought I'd end up with a playlist entirely of growling blokes, but no! Even though this is a mostly punky, metally list, 8 out of the 13 are female vocals. Vocals...I like vocals! Well, (8.5 female vocals if you count the IAMX song.)
September Mourning - Unholy (US)
A weird band-crossover-comic project. Here.

Djerv - Madman (Norwegian)
Imagine a more terrifying version of Annie Lennox, can such be possible? Apparently so. *Brain explodes* Here. Try not to jump.

Shireen - UMAI (Enigmatic Witchrock from the Netherlands)
Hey! I HAVE THOSE DINOSAUR BOOTS! Alas they're in London.
Eivør - Verð Mín (Faroese)
Here. A moment of calm.

Biru Baby - Inferno Awaits (Sámi - Norway.)
Music described as "baffling." 😱
"From the cold, hard tundra of Sápmi, in the Barents region of Norway, comes the revolutionary band crew Biru Baby. Echoing the ancient call of the Sámi people - mixed with the next level music of modern civilization, into what has been described as “baffling”, “brilliantly unique”, and “Babymetal on acid”.
This is one of their more "accessible" songs. No really.
IAMX -Stardust (Londoner.)
I think this is here to prove I can listen to classy shit too.
Here.

ORANSSI PAZUZU - Uusi teknokratia (Finnish psychedelic black metal.)
Finnish psychedelic black metal, yes... it's actually a thing. Psychadelic woo-woo hippy stuff usually pisses me off, but this... this is the shock of recognition of hearing the sound of my own soul screaming back at me in torment. Face it, we've all had such moments. I find it oddly soothing and cathartic to hear this, the near as dammit raging agony of my own soul. Well. I'm not internally screaming all the time. Usually when I think about the country I grew up in. Then this shit is how I feel inside.
Here.

Muse - Supremacy (British)
Wait WHUT? This is almost normal music! I stumbled on this for the inexplicably corpse-painted surfers in the music video, but ended up liking the song anyway.
Poppy - X (US, Internet denizen.)
I spent ages trying to decide which Poppy song to put in this list. Should I pick the accessible song? Or the completely utterly bonkers insane song? The latter, obviously.
Here.

Impaled Rektum - Kuusamo (Not-a-real-band but Finnish.)
I've mentioned before the famous Finnish easy-listening ballad of Kuusamo and how you'll probably recognise it. Now hear it in this delightful Death Metal cover version.
Here.

In This Moment - "The In-Between" (US)
DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE!!! But a beautiful video, and the voice of an angel. Full screen! (Some mild flickering throughout.)
Dimmu Borgir - Burn in Hell (Norwegian)
Didya think I'd do a playlist without Demon Burger in it? This isn't quite in their usual style, being the cover of a Twisted Sister song(!) It's very jolly.
Here.

Does this list intrigue you? Unlikely, I'll admit, but I've tried to include pretty pictures (and they don't get prettier than Dimmu Borgir) and videos here at least.
