lovely work. and a fascinating peek into a strange place. the high-rise buildings look like giant robots menacing the village.

It's easy enough to find pics of Liverpool (http://www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool/in_pictures/photo_galleries/) especially now it's been declared a world heritage site (http://www.bbc.co.uk/liverpool/capital_culture/2004/07/heritage/index.shtml) (which is just too bizarre!)
But I wanted to show the bits I see pretty much every day, bog standard residential UK city suburbia. It looks ordinary to me, but I did wonder how it would look to chums outside the UK.
And it was a nice sunny day, who could resist photies? Perhaps you could hit back with pics of your local area, it would be exotic for me.

Excellent! I would love to see your walkthrough. I'm guessing you'd probably have similar visuals as the to the left, to the right panels too.

Two cities, even better! Go for it, (if you have the time of course.) The gauntlet has been thrown!

Ga! I'd not want to be the cause of thug unpleasantness. I was a bit furtive with my camera myself, but luckily it's nothing flashy.

I'll have to get my camera back from my friend Frost, first, and maybe wait until the sun comes out again. It was right chill here today, but Minneapolis celebrates May Day in a pretty big way anyway. A local novelist describes the parade here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/pegkerr/433333.html?view=3424437#t3424437 (links to photos, too.)

Wow! That's pretty cool, I'm quite jealous now.

it's a really great arty little city, and was even before the hippies made Heart of the Beast. I moved here on purpose. (There's a Halloween puppet show too, but no parade. It's called Bare Bones and it's held in the woods, and it's usually DAMN chilly by then.)

Love it.
I was looking at your toons again yesterday and realised that I am in love with Uberich. If there are any sibling dragons out there - send them my way!

Ah! The nature of Uber-ich is such that you have to find your own, it's not summat that can be given.

But what the foosh is a champagne fountain? Wouldn't it utterly ruin the bubbly?
Ga! My French blood bristles.

It does sound like a euphemism for something, thank goodness there was a picture with the advert.

That's very pretty. I love the way you've made most of the photographs look like the really high quality renders that builders use to flog new developements. :-)

That's the power of blue skys and sunny days, it doesn't look quite so appealing in the p*ssing rain.
Mind you, the decrepit house in panel 2 is for sale, detached crumbling pile, overlooking the texaco garage....
Hmmmm.

Very familiar with nearly all those places...
The house you snapped on Wavertree Road with the phone box - opposite the KFC, I believe - is where my mate Jenni jellynewt (www.livejournal.com/users/jellynewt) lived until a few months ago.
Can't wait to see your new place :-)!

(Grin!) But who lives in the secret house with all the bluebells?

I love that - you're very smart!

Come and do one in London!

It's a possibility, I grew up in London so I could do my old haunts, though that might involve me having to stay at my parents. (Groan!)

Love It!

Thanks, I got a kick out of the cartoon! To be continued...I assume?

To be continued...

...well, probably not, it was a one-off. One-off cartoons come about from mood, time and opportunity, though I may at some point do a walk in the opposite direction from work to the center of Liverpool. That would require me to work up a bit more courage though. I don't have an expensive camera, but it would involve me walking through an area where I might not be so keen to flash anything shiny.
