SpaceGoth/Marmite Update
Jun. 25th, 2004 08:52 amThough I've been too ill this week to do art, I have at least been able to script up and thumbnail sketch the first 3 pages of the new SpaceGoth toon. There's a heck of alot of prep to do before I can actually start arting it up though, which makes me suspect that the first toon won't get finished before September. (At the earliest.) As before, it looks like I'll end up with a huge backlog of scripts waiting to get arted while I fiddle about preparing the characters and their environments, but that's no bad thing.
Other exciting news... Other-Half ate the last of the butter and I have been forced to eat marmite on dry bread with no butter! Marmite is a noxious substance at the best of times, and it is a testament to how sickly I've been this week that I could even consider consuming this foul, tarry black byproduct dry on bread at all. (It's pretty disgusting even with butter.) It does work rather well as an illness indicator, I'll know that I'm fully recovered when my brain flips from "must eat Marmite" to "what the feck! How can you even look at that shite let alone eat it."
Then I'll know myself to be cured.

Date: 2004-06-25 01:04 pm (UTC)Marmite on toast without butter always reminds me of a diet I tried once. The toast and Marmite (sans beurre) was one of the nicer parts of the experience; the nadir was the boiled beetroot, tuna in brine and green vegetable meal which was so ghastly that even after two weeks of short rations it was hard to choke down.
As you can tell, the memory haunts me to this very day. ;-)
