Officially Unwell - Woopie!
Jun. 21st, 2004 10:34 amFor the past week I've not been 100%. Tired, aching all over, clogged nose, permenant pounding headache and swollen agonising neck.
Course, I put this down to stress, took mega-strength painkillers and went to work anyway, and put down my curious lack of energy to get on with outside-of-work art projects as being crap and slack. (Attempted sketching last week, the result was appalling, but I thought it was just me being rubbish.)
Tried working on personal projects on Saturday, this in some ways was amusing. Other-Half has been working on building a futuristic mega-cool motorcycle.
How did I use my 3 hour window of not feeling like utter shit to work on art?
Um, I built a toilet.
Not sure what this says about me, it was a damn fine toilet though, even if it did finish me off, and I was then so ill I ended up sleeping for the whole of Sunday and still woke up feeling like shit Monday morning.
Just been to the Doc, he says I have some kind of viral infection, has given me pills for possible bacterial complications and told me to take at least 3 days off work, maybe 6. (I'm always too guilty to take time off work unless specifically told to do so by a doctor.)
So there it is, officially unwell. I'm going back to bed now.

Get well soon. . .

Date: 2004-06-21 09:43 am (UTC)Bah, I hate being ill, not being able to do anything remotely usefull really pisses me off. At the moment I can't seem to stay concious for more than 2 hours tops, it's really tedious.
Been watchin' the LJ progress of your characters, cool stuff, makes me itch to make a proper start on my new beasties, but... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Crawls back to sleep for another 6 hours, grumble!

Date: 2004-06-21 10:54 am (UTC)Damn vague viruses, when I was a kid you knew where you stood with them, a few days of snot and snuffle and then you'd be done. Nowadays they seem to be all about being knackered and falling over, these damned modern viruses, no sense of tradition!

SpaceGoth is still in the concept, (note making stage) I've a few odds and ends I need to tie off first, and um... work of course. :-)

Date: 2004-07-01 04:42 am (UTC)A graphic novel is something I might actually manage, it's still slow and eats up probably more time than is sensible, but it ain't as deathly slow (for me) as a full blown written novel. (More fun to work on too.)
