motodraconisThe good thing about Other-Half being away for a couple of days is that I do get to fiddle with artstuff all evening without feeling vaguely guilty.
I've made a small start on the next toon series (well, a logo so far and some rough sketches.)
It may look like just a logo, but it caused a certain amount of headache trying to isolate a suitable typeface. I want it to look spoof and cheesy (hence the obligatory lens-flare.) My favorite typeface looked a little too familiar, though for the life of me I couldn't place whatever obscure sci-fi series was influencing me. So I chose second-best typeface, cos I don't want someone commenting me and saying, "hey, you ripped off the logo from insert obscure sci-fi series here."
Not the most imaginative title either, I really wanted to call it "Goths in Space," but that tag seems to have been used already, here and here for a start, (though they haven't taken the idea much further than I have so far.) Bum. Perhaps I should Google for "SpaceGoth" but I fear the result could be too depressing, and then what would I be left with to title my new toon? "Gkljsklhs!" perhaps? (Grumble.)
Also, Junes Toon is coming along nicely, and I've written up a script and thumbnail frameplan for a possible 2 page piece, (featuring Moto and Uberich,) for a themed minicomic that![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
