Trawling around at random, pinched this idea from [livejournal.com profile] lilyuk

"Look at your interests list and pick out any interests you have listed which appear in plain text. These will be interests that aren't hyperlinked to a list of other people who share the same interest, because nobody else has listed them yet. They are unique to you!

Now paste those interests into your journal, and tell everyone what they are and why anyone should be interested in them."

Decent French Comics
I might have had better luck if I'd put down "French Comics" but the term was a little too large and all embracing.
On the plus side, the French show respect for Comic book artists, a legacy of Asterix perhaps, (a series I grew up on and still love.) French comics are invariably sold as hardback, A4 size with quality colour printing, and in some cases, breathtaking quality artwork. They are readily available in France in supermarkets, newsagents and bookshops, (the larger "posh" bookshops dedicate large areas of shopspace to this media form, entire floors on occasion.) And no one looks down their nose at you or thinks you're weird to be an adult buying comics.
The down side is that whenever I'm lucky enough to be in France, (usually to visit relies, and dragging my mum to the nearest large bookshop as a bribe for me having to suffer my relatives,) buying more comics (from the adult section) does involve quick flicking through each one to check, as there's a heck of alot of tedious misogyny in French Comics. Hence the "decent French comics" tag. (Cos y'know, for some strange reason, I ain't a big fan of misogyny.)

Which brings me to my next unloved by the rest of the world interest. (Probably unpopular cos this one ain't misogynistic!)

Percevan
Yup it's another French comic, a cute series of tales about a Viking Warrior and his comedy sidekick with lush artwork. I see they've brought out a couple more books that I ain't got, I ought to join http://www.fnac.com/ and order them really.

For those of you still awake by now, and vaguely interested. (Unlikely, as no one can ever read French.) Also of note are

La Caste des MetaBarons slightly dodgy, very cyber, alot of guns and boobs, (sigh) but amazing artwork, this site don't really do it justice.

Regis Loisel I love this guys work, it's beautiful. The Bird of Time series is particularly good. True, the main character is an over-busty, scantily clad, voluptu-nubile, but she is the main character, and she kicks ass.

(My Regis Loisel interest is shared by just one other person on LJ, a Polish person of unknown gender who has never made an entry into their LJ.)

All the above have been printed sporadically in English, but with the exception of Asterix, they are almost impossible to find, (ya'll only ever find one out of the series,) and generally of poor-quality print compared to the French versions.
