In the unlikely event that anyone should want to contact me on an unrelated post, you can leave a comment here.

I have no problem with comments on my journal from complete (LJ) strangers, (if I did, I would not bother with public posts,) providing the comments are not offensive, obscene, racist, sexist, homophobic, blah blah blah. Such comments will be deleted and ignored.
So feel free...

Occasionally, while wandering about at random on the net, I may leave comments in the journals of people I don't know. This is not designed to cause offence, I leave comments because someone has posted something I consider interesting, witty, moving or the like. If this irritates or upsets you, then leave a comment telling me to stay away here (a tactful one if possible!) I will send an apology and then stay away. LJ is a strange place, public and private at the same time, it is not my intention to upset or offend people.

EDIT: Any comments mentioning my real life name or Chaos Engine identity will also be deleted, no offense intended, just web paranoia. :-)

Unless otherwise stated (and credited,) the artwork on my Website, Flickr Account and LJ is my own, and subject to copyright law. If you are unsure of what that means, this link will explain.
Obviously I cannot prevent people pinching stuff, but if you want to use my art, do the right thing and ask first. I always have time for people with good manners, so long as you ain't using it for nastyness, (you know what I mean,) and credit me, (you know, the usual politeness,) there should be no problem.

I think you should drop a hint for me in return. Gender puts me at a disadvantage. (To easy to blow my cover, I knew I shouldn't have let myself get sucked into that subject, I'd managed to resist until now.) Any identities revealed will be deleted of course.

I wonder whose artwork you were talking about here? I wonder if you can remember, seeing as it was a reply from eight years ago and the original comment you were replying to is now deleted, lost in the mists of time?

Speaking of space-faring heroines, as we were earlier, you are surely aware of Halo Jones?

Hi,
Came across your lj via lurking in [livejournal.com profile] theladiesloos - and am fascinated by your work and interests in general. I chose to reply to this thread because it reminded me a bit of my boy's work (who does animations as well, as it so happens) here (http://fergusmurray.members.beeb.net/colmod.htm) - the sleeping dragon's the last one on the page. Mind if I add you to my friends list?

Hmmm, Guildford, I can only think of 2 places off the top of my head that ain't gone under. Criterion and Lionhead. I have a chum at Lionhead, if you're there, give an anonymous wave for me.
I'd be happy to do a friends thang if you're up for it, in spite of my ungracious remarks on [livejournal.com profile] gamedevelopers I like to stay in touch with other game dev folk.

Hello there mysterious one.
Welcome, and many thanks, I shan't be adding you back immediately, but that is just because you're new on LJ and I like to read a batch of entries on a persons journal so I can get a rough idea of their personality before I friend them, you're still quite mysterious. :-)
Are you 2 people? Or person with parrot? I rather like parrots myself, superb creatures, and I've been lucky enough to get up close to wild parrots on occasion. (But not blue ones alas.)

Hi,
Don't know if your e-mail's working again yet, don't have your land-line phone and your mobile's switched off, so just thought I'd let you know (on the off-chance you see this before leaving) that I won't be able to make Midian tonight. I'm not feeling well (again) and I still have loads of work to do. Hope you guys have a good time, anyway, and we'll see you at your Soiree next week.

You're quite right, and I have unfriended you as requested. Some of it got out of proportion, I didn't delete all comments of the person whose email I quoted, she just panicked. But then so did I. That's what I do - panic. I'm sorry we're not on the right wavelength, you and I, but we both know that people are not all alike in their needs in LJ. You've got a good collection of your own friends who you're happy with and I've got a very small bunch of friends I'm happy with. So we'll get on with our separate lives. (But I'll still come by sometimes and look at your toons, I love them!) I wish you all the best.

Hello! We have some friends and interests in common. (And also an ex-friend, I see. Did she really quote from my e-mail behind my back?? Well, well.)

I actually came here because I have room on my flist for another friend, and I love your style of writing and what I have seen of your art. Plus you're from Britain (I'm an anglophile), and I've been thinking for years that I really should try t'ai chi, so I'd love to hear about your progress. :)

Usually I just add people, but I thought in this case I should ask first whether it's all right with you.

Ha! Tai chi, well I've only done 2 lessons so far, but I think it might agree with me, I'm already toying with the idea of practicing at lunchtime. There's a patch of ground outside work partially obscured by a small grassy knoll. I might just be able to get away with practicing without a dozen co-workers pointing and laughing.
Possibly....
