Shiv Kamal or Cannonball Tree, revered as a sacred tree because the petals of the flower resemble the hood of the Naga, a sacred snake, protecting a Shiva Lingam, the stigma.

I love these trees! On route to one appointment we drove through a canopy of them on either side of the road - like a crown of fire.

That garden message cracked me up, now if only I could meet chums to walk with in fancy gardens today I'd not now be laid up in bed with a stinking cold!

I could hear crashing outside my hotel window, and saw huge shapes flitting across, it was very much WTF until I looked outside and saw monkeys. There were 2 younger ones fighting on the grill above my window, but they were not very easy to photograph. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/motodraconis/5824843357/in/set-72157626944759236)
