CommentBox

In the unlikely event that anyone should want to contact me on an unrelated post, you can leave a comment here.

I have no problem with comments on my journal from complete (LJ) strangers, (if I did, I would not bother with public posts,) providing the comments are not offensive, obscene, racist, sexist, homophobic, blah blah blah. Such comments will be deleted and ignored.
So feel free...

Occasionally, while wandering about at random on the net, I may leave comments in the journals of people I don't know. This is not designed to cause offence, I leave comments because someone has posted something I consider interesting, witty, moving or the like. If this irritates or upsets you, then leave a comment telling me to stay away here (a tactful one if possible!) I will send an apology and then stay away. LJ is a strange place, public and private at the same time, it is not my intention to upset or offend people.

EDIT: Any comments mentioning my real life name or Chaos Engine identity will also be deleted, no offense intended, just web paranoia. :-)

Unless otherwise stated (and credited,) the artwork on my Website, Flickr Account and LJ is my own, and subject to copyright law. If you are unsure of what that means, this link will explain.
Obviously I cannot prevent people pinching stuff, but if you want to use my art, do the right thing and ask first. I always have time for people with good manners, so long as you ain't using it for nastyness, (you know what I mean,) and credit me, (you know, the usual politeness,) there should be no problem.

Yeah, I'm making the final changes now, and posting 10-20 pages a week.

And I haven't made any action figures in two years.

I discovered that I never did get around to adding you! So I have done now :D

Hi there. I stumbled across your profile and wanted to let you know that I ♥ your comics.

I'd like to add you.

Hello there! Tis no problem, add away.
:-)

Hey there...
Just to let you know that i can't see some posts i could previously over recent weeks, I only noticed tonight however. It may be that you've put me in a filter for whatever reason, in which case ignore this. Just thought i'd mention it as some posts on my LJ have been going screwy this past few weeks too.

Tum te tum

[identity profile] motodraconis.livejournal.com 2006-06-06 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
Weirdness! I don't know what's going on there, I've not fiddled with any filters or posts. Vanishing posts is somewhat disturbing. :-(
A few people on my f-list have been having problems too, and I missed a load of your posts recently because of LJ weirdness. (I can see them now, I think!)
Any post in particular? I checked my more recent ones, (but I've no way of knowing if you're seeing those, you should be!)As far as I can tell, I ain't done anything at my end.

Mind if I add you?

[identity profile] motodraconis.livejournal.com 2006-06-27 07:59 am (UTC)(link)

<waves> Been meaning to friend you for ages. Doing so now, hope you don't mind ;-)

[identity profile] motodraconis.livejournal.com 2006-07-31 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
Hi, friended you back.
I'm pretty sure, (but not 100%) that we've sort of met in real life too, at the Inferno game in Oxford, though I never actually went up to speak to you. You were so charismatic and glam, and I was too shy to approach you.
:-)

[personal profile] triskellian 2006-07-31 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I was certainly there (playing Eva the prostitute-who-became-queen), but I didn't feel either charismatic or glam at the time!

I thought I'd leave a comment as you've practically invited me to.

Been ambling round LJ today (spotted you through london met) and noticed on your userinfo jslayeruk's tea/terror icon which I commented to her about earlier. :o)

[identity profile] motodraconis.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Her icon is genius! I posted it up on my user info last year after the London bombings, but after recent events I felt compelled to make my own version.

Aaah! The Met eh? I did my MA there mumble 10 years ago.
:-)

Please read my post.

Have done... very nicely written. Thankyou - but no need to apologise, I'm pretty easy going.

Hello :)

[identity profile] rainbowskye.livejournal.com 2006-10-10 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[livejournal.com profile] sushidog kindly linked me to your dalek when I was trying to think about what kind of Dr. Who cake to make, and you inspired me to this: http://pics.livejournal.com/rainbowskye/pic/000139yz/

Just thought you might like to know!

Heh heh! Fantastic.
I particularly like the lollipop plunger. Genius!

Have you seen the original post (http://doyle-sb4.livejournal.com/349875.html) that sparked off the dalek cake madness? Check it out, it's inspired.

Hello :-)

[livejournal.com profile] hazel_tree pointed me to you, as I love spacegirl so much (not literally)

Re: Hello :-)

[identity profile] motodraconis.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent! I'm always chuffed when Spacegirl raises a grin. I see you're chums with some of my good chums too. Friended ya.

[identity profile] missl.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
PS - good to see ol Winnie quoted on your userprofile!

Re: Worms

[identity profile] motodraconis.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 10:38 am (UTC)(link)
I have a fondness for good quotes, and try and note them down when I see them, Winnie has loads of fabulous ones. I love his worms quote cos it's so cheeky; humble and hugely pig-headed at the same time. Perfect!

As far as I know, you're the only one to spot the reference. :-)

I use to keep a note book (think it is still in my bookcase somewhere) which I put notable quotes in . Winnie warrents a whole page to himself.. I remember one along the lines of 'the truth is an avenue explored by Americans only as a last resort' (think this must have been during his rumblings about Teddy Roosevelt) Wit and humble arrogance.. a wonderful combination :)

One of my favs, (and it's hard to choose) is this one...

A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

I considered putting it on my profile as it's a great life mantra, but it was a bit long-winded!
